Indian economy doing well even in unsupportive global environment: RBI MPC member Ashima Goyal
Wednesday, 20 September 2023 The Indian economy has shown improvement in key macroeconomic indicators, despite a challenging global environment, due to various reforms implemented by the Modi-led government, according to RBI Monetary Policy Committee Member Ashima Goyal. However, Goyal believes that there is still a long way to go for India to realize its full potential.
On the 25th anniversary of the Kargil War, PM Modi paid tribute to martyrs in Drass, Ladakh, and defended the Agnipath scheme amidst opposition criticism. He accused detractors of historically neglecting soldiers and highlighted his government's achievements, including implementing One Rank One Pension (OROP) and allocating over 125,000 crore rupees to ex-servicemen.
