It’s still a world of double standards: EAM S Jaishankar in New York

During a ministerial session titled 'South Rising: Partnerships, Institutions and Ideas', Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar criticized the double standards of influential countries and their resistance to change. He mentioned that there is a growing sentiment in the global South for change, but political resistance exists. Jaishankar emphasized the need to respect diversity and heritage and highlighted the importance of cultural rebalancing. Additionally, he mentioned that India's G20 presidency aims to bring about reforms in international financial institutions. The session also addressed issues such as debt, sustainable development goals, climate action, digital access, nutrition, and gender.
