WC to boost private jet traffic at Ahmedabad airport by 30%

IndiaTimes Friday, 29 September 2023
The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad is experiencing a surge in chartered aircraft activity, with an expected 30% increase in non-scheduled charter aircraft movements in October. This is due to the ICC Cricket World Cup matches scheduled to be held in Ahmedabad, which will attract political figures, business magnates, celebrities, and sports enthusiasts. The airport is well-prepared for the increase, with around 43 aircraft parking stands. The demand for private jet travel is expected to be further fueled by the attendance of Bollywood stars, sports celebrities, business tycoons, political leaders, and ministers.
