Holidays 25% costlier, yet bookings up 40%

IndiaTimes Thursday, 12 October 2023
Despite a 25% increase in the cost of holiday packages due to higher air fares and hotel tariffs, there has been a 40% increase in bookings this Diwali compared to last year. Both domestic and international destinations are in high demand, with popular locations including Finland, Paris, Switzerland, South Africa, Australia, and Dubai. Air fares to various destinations have also increased by 10-20%, but this has not deterred travelers. Gujarati customers in particular are showing a strong interest in luxury travel and unique accommodations.
