IndiaTimes Friday, 20 October 2023
India's tallest national flag, measuring 418 feet, was inaugurated at the Attari-Wagah border in Amritsar district by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. The flag is a horizontal tricolour with saffron at the top, white in the middle, and green at the bottom. In the center of the white band is a navy-blue wheel representing the chakra. Gadkari expressed his delight at the installation and thanked the soldiers guarding India's borders. The design of the flag was adopted by the Constituent Assembly of India in 1947. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was also present on the occasion.
