NewsClick founder, HR head's custody extended till October 25
A Delhi court on Friday extended the judicial custody of NewsClick founder Prabir Purkayastha and HR head Amit Chakraborty till October 25 in a UAPA case. Purkayastha and Chakraborty, arrested on October 3 following allegations of receiving foreign funds for disseminating pro-China propaganda through the news portal, were produced in court on the expiry of 10-day judicial custody. Additional sessions judge Hardeep Kaur extended their custody for five more days.
