Anti-smog guns deployed by BMC at 8 spots in south Mumbai

IndiaTimes Sunday, 22 October 2023
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has deployed vehicle mounted mist spraying machines, known as anti-smog guns, at eight locations in Mumbai to control dust and curb pollution. These machines have varying capacities and are being used during peak hours and at junctions with heavy traffic. The BMC plans to procure more anti-smog machines depending on their success. The new air quality guidelines also include measures such as dust mitigation at construction sites, installation of air quality monitoring systems, and the formation of special pollution monitoring squads.
