Russia-Ukraine war stretches on, drag felt on charters to Goa

Only Aeroflot is currently operating charter flights to Goa International Airport, while other Russian carrier Azur Air has not applied for landing slots. The number of foreign tourists arriving in Goa on charter flights has also declined, with estimates suggesting only 30-40% of pre-Covid levels. The geopolitical strife has also affected the foreign exchange rate, causing challenges for tour operators.
