Trifed tussle escalates, chairman asks govt how MD's suspension was nixed

The Chairman of the Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development (Trifed), Ramsinh Rathwa, has questioned the Ministry of Tribal Affairs' decision to declare his suspension of the organization's Managing Director, Geetanjali Gupta, as "null and void". Rathwa has expressed concerns about Trifed's administrative functioning under Gupta and alleges that she does not respond to his letters. He cites the Multi-State Cooperative Societies Act, 2002 as the basis for his decision to suspend Gupta. The Ministry of Tribal Affairs has yet to respond to queries about the ongoing dispute.
