Cop suspended over Insta gun reel reinstated, then sacked in 48 hours

A UP police constable, Priyanka Mishra, who was suspended for posting an Instagram reel in her police uniform with a pistol, has been terminated just 48 hours after being reinstated. The reinstatement order was passed by a police department clerk without following proper procedures. Mishra had resigned from the police service after the video sparked controversy, but later reapplied and was approved for the job in Agra. However, the appointment was canceled by the Agra police commissioner, citing the erroneous nature of the order. A departmental probe has been initiated, and the clerk responsible for the reinstatement has been suspended.
