Saturday, 28 October 2023 Several Congress leaders, including Chandra Singh Baid, son of former Rajasthan Finance Minister Chandanmal Baid, have joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the Assembly polls. Jyoti Khandelwal, former Mayor and Congress Lok Sabha candidate from Jaipur, also switched to the BJP. State BJP unit chief CP Joshi stated that the influx of leaders into the party reflects people's confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The BJP aims to remove the Congress from power in Rajasthan.
