Chhattisgarh assembly polls: CM Bhupesh Baghel files nomination from Patan seat
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has filed nomination papers from his traditional seat Patan for the upcoming assembly polls. He expressed confidence that the Congress party will retain power in the state. Baghel, who has been elected five times from the seat, posted pictures on social media of him filing the nomination papers. The opposition BJP has fielded Vijay Baghel, the CM's nephew and current Lok Sabha member from Durg, as their candidate for this assembly seat. Both candidates belong to the influential OBC community.
