SC censures NCLAT judicial member, he quits

The Supreme Court has censured a former judge, Rakesh Kumar, for defying an apex court order. Kumar had informed the court that he had tendered his resignation, but the court found his actions to be a wilful defiance of their order. The court closed the contempt proceedings against Kumar with a censure. The court also accepted the unconditional apology of Alok Srivastava, former Union law secretary, who was Kumar's bench partner.
