ED raids 23 Rajasthan locations in probe tied to Jal Jeevan scam
Friday, 3 November 2023 The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted searches in Rajasthan over alleged irregularities in the Jal Jeevan Mission project. The individuals targeted in the search are reportedly linked to PHED officers and property dealers in Jaipur. The ED claims that these individuals are close to the PHED minister and a senior IAS officer overseeing the department. The BJP MP has alleged a scam worth Rs 20,000 crore in the Jal Jeevan scheme in Rajasthan. The Congress party criticized the searches, accusing the agencies involved of being BJP's "campaigners".
