Chhattisgarh polls: Rahul Gandhi hails Congress' 'pro-farmer' model, reiterates promise of loan waiver

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday hailed his party's 'pro-farmer' model as he spoke to farmers in poll-bound Chhattisgarh. ​He reiterated Congress' commitment to waive off farm loans and also promised an increase in wages, if his party retains power in the upcoming assembly polls. Gandhi said agricultural landless labourers (in rural areas) will be given Rs 10,000 per year in place of the existing Rs 7,000.
