Chhattisgarh elections: Tight security in place for safe polling in Maoist-hit Bastar
Comprehensive security measures have been implemented in Maoist-affected constituencies for the first phase of elections in Chhattisgarh. Over 600 polling centers will be enclosed within a three-tiered security cordon, and women commandos will play a pivotal role in maintaining order. Advanced technology such as drones and helicopters will be used for monitoring Maoist activities.
