Amidst controversy over deep fakes, Meta seeks disclosure from advertisers on content changes through AI Or Digital Methods
Social media giant Meta has announced a new policy that requires advertisers to disclose when they digitally create or alter a political or social issue ad in certain cases. Advertisers will have to disclose whenever an ad contains digitally created or altered content that depicts a real person saying or doing something they did not, or depicts a realistic-looking person or event that does not exist. The move comes as India prepares for elections and in response to the government's crackdown on deep fakes and misinformation.
