Why are Bilal and Ghulam so crucial for Deepotsav?

The grand Deepotsav festival in Ayodhya, India, will be celebrated on Saturday with the lighting of 24 lakh diyas (earthen lamps). Local entrepreneurs, Bilal Ansari and Ghulam Sarwar, will supply 22 lakh diyas, along with mustard oil and dry flower petals for the event. Deepotsav, now in its seventh edition, has earned a place in the Guinness Book of World Records and is known as a confluence of languages, cultures, and art forms. The festival will also feature a daily light-and-sound show.
