The area is mainly focused on farming cotton, millets, and maize. The upcoming state assembly elections have not created much election atmosphere in Jhabua. The Congress has fielded Vikrant Bhuria as their candidate, while the BJP has nominated Bhanu Bhuria. Both candidates blame each other for the lack of efforts to address migration and increase employment opportunities.
