Jaishankar prays for peace at Swaminarayan Mandir in London on Diwali
Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar visited the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in London for Diwali and expressed his prayers for the peace and prosperity of the Indian community worldwide. He also met with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak at Downing Street during his five-day official visit to the UK. The visit aims to strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries and give a new impetus to their friendly relations. Jaishankar will also attend various events, including a Diwali Reception and a discussion on global perspectives. India and the UK have been negotiating a free trade agreement since January 2020.
