The Delhi high court has received a petition from a pilot seeking the release of flight data recorder (FDR) information regarding an Air India Express aircraft accident in 2018. The pilot claims that the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) overlooked important details in its final report. The petitioner argues that the weight of the aircraft may have been incorrectly recorded, leading to the incident. The Central government standing counsel has been given time to respond to the petition. The petitioner cites examples of reduced thrust incidents involving Boeing 737 aircraft to support their claim.
