Rs 2 crore in damages for man who lost leg in accident

IndiaTimes Monday, 13 November 2023
A man from Bhandup, Mumbai, has been awarded a compensation of Rs 2 crore after losing his leg in an accident on the national highway in 2016. The incident occurred when the man was urinating near a dhaba and was hit by a tanker. The Motor Accident Claims Tribunal acknowledged that the man's earning capacity had been significantly restricted as a result of the accident. Although he did not suffer a financial loss of earning, his ability to work had been drastically diminished.
