The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has registered a case against designated terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun for threatening people flying Air India and the airline with closure of operations. Pannun, who is associated with the outlawed group Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), had released video messages urging Sikhs to stop flying on Air India planes from November 19. Following this, investigations have been initiated by security forces in Canada, India, and other countries where Air India operates. Pannun has been under the NIA's radar since 2019.
