SGPC to adopt new strategy for the release of Sikh prisoners

The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) is planning to hold a special meeting with Sikh scholars and senior lawyers to discuss the release of Sikh prisoners. The committee has been actively raising its voice against human rights violations and injustices by the government towards Sikh prisoners. SGPC also expressed concerns about the alleged lack of a firm policy regarding the ongoing voter registration process for the SGPC elections and demanded simplification of the vote verification process.
