Rajkaran Baraua, a 56-year-old security guard from Jabalpur, has finally achieved his dream of obtaining an MSc in maths after 25 years of perseverance. Despite facing 23 failures, Rajkaran never gave up and continued to pursue his passion while working double shifts and odd jobs. A 2015 TOI report on him provided a boost of motivation. Rajkaran, who spent around Rs 2 lakh on books and exam fees, celebrated his achievement quietly to avoid embarrassing his employers. He has now quit his job and can proudly share his accomplishment.
