Chief minister Naveen Patnaik's trusted aide V Karthikeyan Pandian joined the BJD and is likely to head a team formulating the party's vision for 2036. Pandian, who took voluntary retirement as an IAS officer, is expected to play a key role in preparing the BJD for the 2024 elections.
