Congress delegation meets EC, seeks action against PM Modi over 'moorkhon ka sardar' remark
The Congress urged the Election Commission to take action against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and home minister Amit Shah for their alleged violation of the model code of conduct during poll campaigns. They also demanded maintenance of silence period in Telangana and raised concerns about campaign violations and tampering of postal ballots in Madhya Pradesh. "We have pointed out to the EC showing direct visual evidence of violations of model code of conduct by none other than the Prime Minister calling the opposition leaders as 'moorkhon ka sardar'," the Congress leaders said.
