Cyclone Michaung to cross south AP coast by Monday

Cyclone Michaung is expected to make landfall between Nellore and Machilipatnam with winds reaching speeds of 100kmph. Chennai may experience heavy rain as the cyclone nears the Tamil Nadu coast. The IMD has issued a red alert for Tiruvallur district for heavy rainfall of 21cm or more. Wind speeds may reach 60kmph-70kmph. The system is currently a depression and may intensify into a cyclonic storm by December 4th.
