Doctor rejoins service after poll loss; nurse not so lucky

Dr Deepak Ghogra, a gynaecologist, returned to serving patients at the district hospital after losing the election in Dungarpur constituency. He had secured special permission to contest the polls and rejoin government services if defeated. Another candidate, Banshilal Katara, who resigned to contest as a BJP candidate, also lost and lost his job as well. Dr Ghogra, the only government doctor to contest the assembly polls, remains hopeful and will continue serving people as a doctor in the government hospital.
