Govt pushes for "Make in India' in diagnostics, rolls out IQ test to assess intellectual disability
The government has introduced the 'Indian Test of Intelligence' to assess intellectual disability. This IQ assessment test kit, developed by NIEPID, is approved for issuing Unique Disability Identity certificates. The minister handed out UDID cards to children who underwent the test. This test kit will promote 'Make In India' diagnostics and be accessible to trained Indian psychologists. NIEPID's test is based on knowledge, reasoning, quantitative reasoning, spatial reasoning, and working memory, suitable for children aged 3-18.
