If BJP cannot keep the Parliament safe...: AAP MP Raghav Chadha raises questions after security breach

IndiaTimes Wednesday, 13 December 2023
Aam Aadmi Party MP Raghav Chadha demanded an investigation into the major security breach in Parliament on the anniversary of the 2001 terror attack. Two unidentified persons intruded into the Lok Sabha, spraying chemical smoke, before being overpowered. Chadha raised questions about how the individuals passed security checks, who allowed them in, and why security protocols were not properly maintained on the anniversary of the attack. Four people involved in the breach were detained, while a manhunt is underway for the others. Intelligence Bureau officials visited the Parliament building.

Tanzania Floods: At least 155 killed in Tanzania as heavy rains pound East Africa | Oneindia

Intense rainfall over several weeks in Tanzania has triggered devastating flooding and landslides, claiming the lives of 155 individuals and leaving 236 others injured, according to the country's Prime Minister, Kassim Majaliwa. Addressing Parliament, Majaliwa attributed the severity of the ongoing rainy season to the exacerbation of the El Niño climate phenomenon. The relentless downpours have not only caused widespread flooding but also inflicted extensive damage to infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and railways, exacerbating the challenges faced by affected communities across East Africa. #TanzaniaFloods #EastAfricaRain #HeavyRains #NaturalDisaster #ClimateCrisis #FloodResponse #DisasterRelief #EmergencyResponse #HumanitarianCrisis #RainySeason ~HT.178~PR.152~ED.101~GR.125~

LS Polls 2024: Election Commission asks AAP to modify its Lok Sabha election campaign song| Oneindia

On April 28, the Election Commission of India (ECI) directed the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to revise the content of its Lok Sabha campaign song to adhere to the Advertising Codes outlined in the Cable Television Network Rules, 1994, and ECI guidelines. The AAP was requested to make necessary modifications to the song and resubmit it for certification. “The phrase “jail ke jawaab me hum vote denge” showing an aggressive mob holding the photo of Arvind Kejriwal showing him behind bars, casts aspersions on the Judiciary. Further, the said phrase appears several times in the advertisement which contravenes the provisions of ECI Guidelines and Rule 6(1(g) of Programme and Advertising Codes prescribed under the Cable Television Network Rules, 1994” (DISPLAY) said ECI. #LSPolls2024 #ElectionCommission #AAP #CampaignSong #ArvindKejriwal #Arrest #ECGuidelines #ModelCodeOfConduct #PoliticalCampaign #SongModification ~PR.152~ED.101~GR.125~HT.96~
