BSF personnel killed in IED blast in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh
A Border Security Force personnel was killed in an IED blast triggered by Naxalites in Kanker district of Bastar division on Thursday. This is second consecutive death in a row in two days. A joint team of BSF and district police was out on patrolling and search operation when the incident occurred near Sadaktola village in Pratappur. Police said that an IED was exploded by the Naxalites hiding in the surrounding region and a BSF head constable Akhilesh Rai, 45, sustained injuries in the blast.
