Polls in sight, Delhi MLAs to get Rs 3 crore more for local work

Delhi government increases MLA local area development (MLALAD) fund from Rs 4 crore to Rs 7 crore per legislator. Increase applicable from current financial year. MLAs get additional Rs 3 crore for 2023-24. Funds increased to provide better service in assembly constituencies. Rs 100 crore to be released this fiscal, remaining Rs 110 crore next year. MLALAD funds used for development projects in local areas.
