Bengaluru: Accused not a gynaecologist, did abortions for teenagers

The founder-doctor of PG Hospital and Diagnostic Centre in Hoskote, who was not a gynaecologist, has been arrested for conducting foeticide procedures. Dr Sreenivasa charged about Rs 50,000 per foeticide and targeted teenagers and college students who got pregnant due to premarital affairs. The hospital charged based on emergency and financial status. The police have arrested the hospital receptionist Bharath and are investigating the number of foeticides conducted by Dr Sreenivasa and his team. They are also verifying if he had conducted foeticide at his previous workplaces.
