Stones placed on train tracks near Nadiad, engine damaged

A goods train in Gujarat was damaged after hitting two stones placed on the tracks near Gothaj railway station. The incident occurred on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara route. Naveen Ranjan, a section engineer, reported the derailment attempt to the police. Preliminary inquiry suggests that miscreants placed the stones on the tracks. This is the second incident of train damage in the area, with a previous incident involving a metal fence pole on the tracks. The investigation is ongoing.
