Two rare 12th-C sculptures found in Jammu

The Department of Archives, Archaeology and Museums, recovered two very rare sculptures — one of Lord Shiva and another of Goddess Indrani (God Indra’s consort) — dating back to the 12th century AD from a site in Bhour Camp area on the outskirts of Jammu, officials said. As per preliminary findings, the Lord Shiva sculpture measures 21x14 inches and weighs approximately 40kg, while the statue of Goddess Indrani measures 28x13.5 inches and weighs around 55kg, officials said.
