Arsene Wenger praises Odisha as India's premier sporting hub during the inauguration of AIFF-Fifa Talent Academy in Bhubaneswar. The recently inaugurated Sports Science Centre at the Kalinga Sports Complex in Bhubaneswar offers state-of-the-art infrastructure for athletes, including postural, functional, and gait labs, altitude training chamber, mind lab, cryotherapy, and a dream pod. Odisha's transformation into a sports power began when it hosted the 22nd Asian Athletics Championships in 2017. Odisha has become a prominent destination for hockey, hosting various international events, including the FIH Hockey Men's World Cup and the Junior Men's World Cup.
