Himachal CM Sukhu dedicates Rs 47 crore Sanjauli-Dhalli tunnel

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu inaugurated the newly constructed Rs. 47.36 crore Sanjauli-Dhalli tunnel in Shimla. The tunnel's progress was slow during the previous BJP government, but Sukhu's government expedited its construction. The existing Dhalli Tunnel, dating back to 1852, had surpassed its design life, causing traffic congestion. The new tunnel will alleviate these issues, improve connectivity, and benefit tourism in Himachal Pradesh. It will also reduce congestion on Shimla's circular road and create local employment opportunities. The old tunnel will be renovated.
