Patna needs to do a lot in terms of urban development: Union minister Hardeep Puri

Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri stated that Patna lags behind in urban development and emphasized the need to expedite projects under the Smart Cities Mission. Patna ranks 83 among 100 smart cities, indicating the scope for improvement. Of the 39 projects sanctioned in Patna, 26 have been completed while work on the remaining 13 is still in progress. Puri also highlighted the successful construction of individual household latrines and the ongoing implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban in Bihar.
