More than 10,000 Santa Clauses add colour to Buon Natale celebrations at Thrissur

Over 10,000 Santa Clauses participated in the tenth edition of Buon Natale, the cultural procession organized to mark the conclusion of the Christmas celebrations in Thrissur. This year, the event coincided with the Thiruvathira celebrations. The Swaraj Round hosted the excited dances of thousands of Santa Clauses, showcasing the pluralistic cultural ethos of Kerala. The Vadakkunnathan temple, Chetti Angadi masjid, and Our Lady of Dolours Basilica were featured on mobile platforms, highlighting the secular tradition. Nursery students, senior citizens, and women joined in the celebration by donning the attire of Christmas papas and dancing to special Buon Natale songs.
