Madhya Pradesh CM keeps home; deputy CMs get finance, health
Saturday, 30 December 2023 MP CM Moan Yadav allocated portfolios to his 28 ministers, retaining home, PR, industrial policy, and mining. Finance went to deputy CM Jagdish Devda, health to Rajendra Shukla, and water resources to Tulsi Silawat. Pradyuman Singh Tomar received energy, and Govind Singh Rajput was given food, civil supplies, and consumer protection. Kailash Vijayvargiya got urban administration and housing, while Prahlad Patel received panchayat and rural development. Rakesh Singh was given public work.
In another blow for the Congress party, its candidate from the Indore constituency, Akshay Kanti Bam, withdrew his nomination for the seven-phased Lok Sabha elections 2024, announced District Election Officer Ashish Singh. Accompanied by BJP MLA Ramesh Mendola, Bam visited the Collector's office to formalise the withdrawal of his candidature. Following this action, Akshay Bam promptly joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), according to Madhya Pradesh Minister and BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya.
