UP man held for raping minor girl, trying to convert her to Islam
Sunday, 31 December 2023 A 14-year-old girl in Kanpur accused a 20-year-old Muslim man of kidnapping, raping, and forcibly converting her to Islam. The accused befriended the girl on Instagram and lured her to stay with him. He allegedly forced her to consume non-vegetarian food and offer 'namaz'. The police have registered a case and arrested the accused. The girl was rescued by members of a Hindu outfit. The accused's arrest has been made and investigations are ongoing.
