Sunday, 31 December 2023 India has reported 841 new cases of Covid-19, the highest in 227 days, while the number of active cases of the infection was recorded at 4,309, a health ministry bulletin stated on Sunday. Three fresh deaths - one each from Kerala, Karnataka and Bihar - were also reported in 24 hours, data showed. The number of people who have recuperated from the disease stands at over 4.4 crore with a national recovery rate of 98.81 per cent.
