AI-powered cameras to detect 19 different traffic violations on Delhi roads

Getting away with breaking road laws might become more difficult in Delhi. Artificial intelligence-powered cameras capable of checking 19 violations, including helmetless riding and not using the seat belt, will soon be installed in the city. The Delhi Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation has floated a tender for the supply, installation, and operation of an automatic number plate recognition detection system. These cameras can also detect end-of-life vehicles, pollution certification violations, and overloaded vehicles. The integrated traffic management system will issue violation alerts and generate e-notices against rule violators.
