IndiaTimes Tuesday, 16 January 2024
Biological E's Covid vaccine, Corbevax, has received WHO emergency use listing, following approval in India. The vaccine, developed on the protein sub-unit platform, received authorization for various age groups, including use as a booster. The Hyderabad-based company has supplied 100 million doses to India, emphasizing its commitment to affordable and accessible vaccines. The WHO listing enhances global accessibility to Corbevax, contributing to broader immunization efforts. "Our commitment is to provide affordable and accessible vaccines that are of high quality and the WHO EUL lays a path for us to make that possible," Biological E managing director Mahima Datla said.
