ED attaches assets in J&K MBBS seats scam

In its money laundering probe against terror suspects and sympathisers in J&K, Enforcement Directorate on Wednesday said it has attached properties worth Rs 5 crore of a few suspects who were involved in arranging MBBS admissions for Kashmiri students in Pakistan by charging commissions of Rs 10-15 lakh from each candidate and funneling the same for alleged terror activities in the Valley and funding stone pelters. ED said it has attached seven properties and two bank accounts in the Valley in its money laundering case against Mohammad Akbar Bhat and others.
