School did not take permission for trip

A day after the Harni lake boat tragedy in which 12 schoolchildren were killed, the Vadodara district education office on Friday issued notice to New Sunrise School, Waghodiya, and initiated an inquiry against it, saying the institution did not take permission for the picnic. District education officer RR Vyas told TOI: "If it's found that the school acted negligently, we will initiate appropriate action while also keeping in mind the interest of the other students studying in the school."
