Tendering norms to be tweaked to prevent cornering of national highway project report work by quoting abnormally low prices

To address the issue of private players quoting abnormally low bid prices for consultancy jobs in highway projects, the road transport ministry will introduce changes in tendering norms. The new norms will cap the maximum score for bidders quoting low prices and limit the number of contracts a consultancy firm can take at one time.
