Landslide forces shut Jammu-Srinagar national highway, over 300 vehicles stranded

The Jammu-Srinagar national highway (NH-44) had to be shut down due to a landslide in Ramban district, leading to the stranding of more than 300 vehicles. The 290km-long national highway faced additional challenges as various sections encountered new snowfall and rain, causing difficulties for commuters. Simultaneously, the sacred cave shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi witnessed its initial snowfall of the season. Authorities reported that a segment of the highway suffered damage in the Sherbibi area.
