On Thursday night, Governor CP Radhakrishnan of Jharkhand extended an invitation to Champai Soren, the chosen candidate for Chief Minister from the JMM-Congress-RJD coalition, to establish a new government in the state. This development came after Hemant Soren's resignation from the position and his subsequent arrest by the ED in connection with a land scam case the previous night. A statement from Raj Bhavan officially confirmed the governor's decision.
